Joe, an efficient smartphone user, needs a streamlined way to access and organize all his content—music, contacts, news, and apps—without the hassle of navigating through multiple applications. He seeks an integrated experience that provides easy access to his personalized content in one place.
We introduced a groundbreaking approach to discovering both personal and public content through the innovative "Scopes" concept within the Ubuntu Touch OS. This concept revolutionizes the traditional mobile experience by providing a seamless and intuitive way to navigate various scopes, including People, Music, News, and Apps. By integrating this concept into the operating system, users gained access to a comprehensive and personalized content experience, enhancing their overall interaction with the device.
A novel approach to mobile interaction was introduced, effectively managing content through the People Scope, Music Scope, News Scope, and Apps Scope.
I contributed to the team responsible for designing the Ubuntu Touch OS system, focusing specifically on the scopes interface. This involved creating initial sketches for various scopes concepts, such as People Scope, Music Scope, News Scope, Apps Scope, and Home Scope. We iterated on these prototypes and refined the design based on feedback gathered during user testing sessions.
